Hello. My name is Dilip Patel. Humour, good listening, excellent rapport and empathy are a few of the skills and qualities which friends and colleagues have attributed to me from a young age.

I am Indian, born in Kenya and living in the UK from the age of 6. So, from birth, I grew up balancing the advantages and challenges of living in diverse cultures and using various languages amongst different faiths. Perhaps it was the profound influence of this upbringing that engendered the ability to communicate and relate well with people of all backgrounds and gives people confidence to seek my support and help.

My deep desire to help people was realised in my career choice of teaching. After twenty years experience as a successful teacher and outstanding leader, I came to a stage where I wanted to make changes in my life. One of the changes was to find a new outlet for my gifts and abilities.

I am passionate about helping people to find their own solutions to the issues they face, discover hidden strengths and gain the most from challenge and change (whether it is self or externally imposed). Hence, I embarked on my training to become a Personal Performance Coach with The Coaching Academy, UK’s largest school for coaches.

My twenty years of successful and extensive experience in education has highlighted the ever-increasing pressures faced by young people and how essential it is to support them in developing life-long skills which help them deal effectively and positively with the changes they face. Training as a Youth Impact Coach has provided me with the ideal vehicle to empower young people to achieve their potential, discover self-motivation, raise self-esteem and take ownership of their future.

Spirituality and Faith have played an important role in my life from birth. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to be able to share the benefits I have received from this area of my life to enrich the lives of others. Coaching now provides me with an additional way of helping people on their spiritual journey.

Not only do I love encouraging others to be their best, I also find coaching deeply satisfying. I consider it a privilege and an honour to be a trusted and active partner in people’s life journeys.
